Black Hills Renewable Advantage adds 200 MW of Renewable Energy

Black Hills Energy received approval from the Colorado Public Utilities Commission to move forward with its preferred 200 MW bid in its Renewable Advantage program. This will represent the company’s first utility-scale solar project, a facility located in Pueblo County which is expected to deliver more than $66 million in savings for Black Hills Energy customers over 15 years. When the project comes online in 2023, more than half of generation by Black Hills Energy will be renewable, representing a 71% reduction in carbon emissions by 2024.
