Georgia Power Company’s Renewable Energy Development Initiative (“REDI”) Utility Scale 2020/2021 concluded with the procurement of 558.5 MW of renewable energy representing 3 projects. Accion Group acted as the Independent Evaluator (“IE”) for the REDI program, which sought a total of 540 Megawatts of renewable energy from several types of renewable resources with in-service dates in 2020 and 2021. Accion also served as IE when Georgia Power issued the first REDI utility scale RFP, which sought 525 MW from all types of renewable resources, with in-service dates in 2018 or 2019.
